NHAI awards Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh highways project
New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) today awarded a project for four-laning of 'Wainganga bridge section on the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis to Ashoka-IDFC Consortium.
The concession agreement was signed here between NHAI and Ashoka Highways (Bhandara) Limited, an SPV formed by the consortium, in the presence of NHAI Chairman Jivtesh Singh Maini The 80 km project, under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase III, is estimated to cost Rs 424 crore.
It will have a concession period of 20 years (including 30 months of construction period).
