Babu Bal Mukund Gupt's village to be developed as model

Chandigarh, Sept 18 (UNI) Haryana Government has, on the occasion of death centenary of noted litterateur, seasoned journalists and freedom fighter Babu Bal Mukund Gupt, announced to upgrade his native village Gudyani in district Rewari as a model village and said that District Library of Jhajjar and Government School of Gudyani would be named after the noted journalist.

These announcements were made by Member Parliament, Dr. Ram Parkash, on behalf of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, while speaking at a function organised to mark the death centenary of Babu Bal Mukund Gupt at village Gudyani today. Mr Hooda could not attend the function as he was busy with ongoing session of the State Legislative Assembly in Chandigarh, Dr Ram Parkash said.

Dr. Ram Parkash said that Babu Bal Mukund Gupt would be long remembered for his contribution to Hindi journalism.

The function was organised jointly by Haryana Sahitya Akademi and Babu Bal Mukund Gupt Patarkarita Avm Sahitya Sarankshan Parishad.

The function was presided over by well known litterateur, Mr.

Bhupinder Vajpayee.
