plane
filled
with
foreign
tourists
crashed
on
the
Thai
resort
island
of
Phuket
yesterday,
killing
88
people
as
it
broke
up
and
burst
into
flames
while
trying
to
land
in
heavy
rain.
Aviation officials said the MD-82, operated by budget carrier One-Two-Go and carrying 130 passengers and crew, tried to abort a landing at Phuket airport in southern Thailand at the last minute.
