No foul-play in SM Street fire: Police
Kozhikode, Sep 17 (UNI) The Crime Branch Police today ruled out any ''conspiracy'' in the S M Street cracker shop fire in the city, which killed eight people on April 5, 2007.
Quoting forensic reports, Superintendent of Police(Crime Branch) T K Rajmohan told newspersons that the fire might be caused by spark, friction, heat or some other reasons as no high explosive material was found from the site.
However, he said the probe would continue to fix the exact cause of the blast.
Many shops on Moideen Palli Road in the street were gutted in the fire, resulting losses worth crores of rupees.
