Rajkot, Gujarat, Sep 17 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi targeted the Congress-led UPA Government over the Ram sethu issue stating the Centre's affidavit in the Supreme Cour on Lord Rama will not be tolerated.
Addressing a large gathering here last evening after the inauguration of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and City Gas Distribution System here, Mr Modi said, ''This cannot be tolerated by 100 crore Indians and Gujarat is not going to tolerate it.'' Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 400 KV sub-station at Hadala, 18 km from here. The sub-station has been constructed at a cost of Rs 106.61 crore.
Refuting Congress leader's allegations that the Gujarat BJP Government is anti-farmer, Mr Modi said that his government not only provided 24 hours electricity to 18,000 villages under the Jyoti Gram Yojna, but also made the farmers capable of earning more money by doubling their farm produce.
Further, giving details regarding the developmental work undertaken in Gujarat, he said that his government has spent 47,000 crore for developmental work in a span of five years in the city.
