G S Rao assumes charge of APCC acting chief
Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Mr G S Rao today assumed charge of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee acting president.
Talking to newspersons at the party headquarters here, Mr Rao said the final decision on the formation of Telangana state was in the hands of Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
She would take a decision on the issue at an appropriate time, he added.
Mr Rao was appointed APCC acting president on Saturday.
Former APCC president K Keshava Rao, who recently stepped down in the wake of his son's alleged involvement in a shooting case, said Congress workers should prepare for the next Assembly elections in the state.
''We should fight unitedly to come to power again,'' he added.
