Centre approves road improvement works in Rajasthan
New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Road Transport and Highways Minister T R Baalu has approved 21 proposals for road improvement works on various stretches of State Highways (SH) and four proposals for the construction of High Level Bridges (HLB) in Rajasthan at a cost of Rs 86.81 crore.
The approved proposals have a total length of 350.83 km at various stretches of the state roads spread across different districts of Rajasthan.
Some of the approved stretches include portions of Jhalawar-Bhawani Mandi-Dug-Agar Road (SH-19 A), Kota-Sangod-Chhabra road (SH-51), Churu-Bhaleri road (SH-69), Alanpur-Bansur-Tala Dhola road (SH-52), Nadoti-Shri Mahaveerji-Kheda road, Bharatpur-Deeg-Alwar Road, Ramgarh-Govindgarh-Sikri Road (SH-45) and Mertacity-Gotan-Asop road.
The total expenditure on improvement of 21 such stretches has been approved at a cost of Rs 6563.37 lakh.
The four HLB, which have been approved, are on river Parwan on Aklera-Maharajapura Road, on Reodar-Jaswantpura-Bhinmal-Bagoda, on river Newaj along Aklera-Maharajpur road and construction of cross-drainage works across Chawali river along Surya-Sunail-Pirawa-Soyat Road.
An amount of Rs 2117.77 lakh had been approved for these works, a ministry official said today.
