Hoshiarpur, Sep 17 (UNI) Five activists of Bahujan Samaj Party will start chain fast from September 21 in protest against the alleged disrespect shown to Sant Ravi Dass and Maharishi Balmiki.

The fast will continue till their idols, missing from Dera Fattu Shah Bibi Sahiba temple of Sri Rameshwar Mahadev here, were installed again, BSP Chief of Punjab, Avtar Singh Karimpuri declared while addressing party workers meeting here today.

A press release by General Secretary of state unit, Gurlal Saila, stated that Mr Karimpuri also warned the district administration that in case idols of both the Gurus were not installed, BSP would itself bring the idols of Guru Ravi Dass and Maharishi Balmik from Khuralgarh and Balmik Tirath Amritsar in a 'Shoba Yatra' (procession) to the Dera Fattu Shah and would install the same with elaborate rituals.

He also demanded withdrawal of all those cases registered against the Dalit youths by the district police, Hoshiarpur.
