Hisar, Sep 16 (UNI) Two more villages in Haryana have entered the list of energy saving villages as all electricity guzzler incandescent bulbs have been repalecd by energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).
These two villages are, Sujanpur and Dhani Suneraj in the Operation Circle, Narnaul of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).
With this addition, the total number of villages having replaced all traditional yellow bulbs with CFLs in the circle's area has, thus, increased to 43.
A spokesman of DHBVN said here today that the 189 consumers in village Sujanpur having 204 houses purchased 377 CFLs from the camp organised by the DHBVN. A number of consumers were already using CFLs in their houses in the village.
Load on the two transformers, of 100 KVA each, supplying power to the village reduced from 42 ampere to 38 ampere and from 52 ampere to 47 ampere respectively.
In village Dhani Suneraj all the 43 houses have metered regular power connections. There is one transformer of 100 KVA capacity to feed the consumers in the village. With the replacement of incandescent bulbs in this village, load on the transformers has reduced by 17 ampere.
Consumers in this village purchased 95 CFLs from the stall arranged by DHBVN employees.
With the reduction in load on the distribution system in these villages due to replacement of power guzzler bulbs, the quality of power supply has improved considerably.
