'Victim' Rashmi says Uma was 'framed' in sting

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) Rashmi Singh, the 'victim' in the fake sting, today said she had met Uma Khurana in Tihar Jail during her incarceration period there and the latter had told her that she was being 'framed'.

Present at her brother's residence in Tilak Nagar, Rashmi told the media that Uma Khurana told her that she too was a victim in the entire episode and had been framed by Virendra and Prakash Singh.

Rashmi also said she was 'suggested' by Uma that she tell the police and the court that she was threatened into taking part in the sting.

On her volte face on turning approver, she said she did it due to technical reasons as she would not have got bail had she agreed to turn approver.

Rashmi Singh was shown as a student 'victim' in the fake sting carried out by 'Live India' channel reporter Prakash Singh. The sting showed a government school teacher Uma Khurana pushing her girl students into prostitution.

The airing of the show on August 30 led to violence in Daryaganj area of Central Delhi near the government school where Uma Khurana worked.
