Togadia demands PM's apology in 'Ram Sethu' issue
Kochi, Sep 16 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Secretary-General Praveen Togadia today demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should apologise for the 'controversial' affidavit filed by the Centre in the 'Ram Sethu' issue.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Togadia said ''the Centre has a collective reponsibility and the Prime Minister should apologise to the nation on the issue.'' The two suspended ASI officials were made 'scape goats' for the affidavit filed by the Centre in the Supreme Court, he said.
Mr Togadia called upon all Hindus to come together to protect the 'Ram Sethu'.
When asked whether the 'Ram Sethu' issue would be made an electoral plank if there was a possible early general election, Mr Togadia, evading a direct answer, said his outfit would strive to protect the 'Ram Sethu' at any cost.
