Swamy slams MK's remarks on Rama Sethu
Madurai, Sep 16 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today condemned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi's purported remarks on Lord Rama and the Ramayana in connection with the 'Ramar Sethu' issue.
In a statement here, Dr Swamy said by describing Lord Rama as a ''fictional''character in a ''dramatised Aryan-Dravidian struggle,'' Mr Karunanidhi had revealed his ignorance of Indian history and ''spewed British imperialist propaganda.'' Dr Swamy claimed the Chief Minister had also described Ravana as a ''Dravidian hero'' and the Brahmins as Aryans during his speech at Yercaud yesterday. However, recent research showed there was no Aryan-Dravidian divide.
