CAPE TOWN, Sep 16 (Reuters) Fast bowler Brett Lee's hat-trick helped Australia restrict Bangladesh to a total of 123 for eight in a Twenty20 World Cup match in Cape Town today.
Lee ended with three for 27 as Bangladesh floundered in the face of Australia's quality pace bowling.
Bangladesh batted more cautiously than they did in losing to South Africa at the same venue yesterday, but they again failed to mount a challenging total.
Their biggest partnership was the 40 runs shared by openers Mohammad Nazimuddin, who made 11, and Tamim Iqbal, who top scored with 32.
Aftab Ahmed came in at the fall of the first wicket in the seventh over and held the innings together until he was dismissed for 31 in the last over of the innings.
