DPS, Mathura Road and Sankiriti running neck-and-neck

Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and Sanskriti School, both of New Delhi, were running neck-and-neck at the end of fourth round in the Under-14 category of on the penultimate day of the three-day Central Board of Secondary Education North Zone (I) Chess Tournament at St Joseph's Senior Secondary School in Sector 44 here today.

While DPS have garnered 12.5 points, Sanskriti School have logged 12 points. Salwan Public School, New Delhi and Alpine School of Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) were sharing the third place with 11 points apiece.

Sanskriti School and Delhi Public School played a 2-2 draw in the fourth round. Similarly Vasant Valley School and Salwan Public School, New Delhi, also locked two-all.

Hosts St Joseph's School, scored a pleasing 3-1 verdict over formidable Delhi Public School of New Delhi by 3-1 in the fourth round in the under-19 category With this fine win. St Joseph's School, were sharing the second position with Vasant Vally School with an identical 11.5 points at the end of the fourth round.

Modern School of New Delhi were clear leaders with 13 points. Modern School defeated K C Public School, Jammu by 3-1.
