Hyderabad, Sep 16 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today demanded that the Andhra Pradesh Government order an enquiry by a High Court Judge into the allegations of corruption made by former State Vigilence Commissioner R C Samal against the state ministers and other IAS officials.
Addressing newspersons here, he also demanded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and AICC President Sonia Gandhi to tender an unconditional apology to the nation for hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community over the 'Ram Setu' issue.
Mr Naidu said the government had the responsibility to find out ''the truth'' in the allegations made against Home Minister K Jana Reddy, Panchyati Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy and Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy that they conspired to remove Mr Samal from the post.
Mr Samal had also alleged that the ministers had not taken any action against the corrupt officials or to control the same.
In the wake of the collpase of an under construction flyover, he demanded that the state government conduct an 'interim' review on the progress and quality of the ongoing irrigation projects.
The eligibility of the sub contractors should also be reviewed, who had taken up the projects, he added.
