Mexico City, Sep 16: The dual between world number one Viswanathan Anand and the Reigning Champion Vladimir Kramnik ended in a stalemate in the third round of the World Chess Championship here.
The most intriguing encounter between these two highest rated chess became the highlight of the third round as the draw suited Kramnik's tournament strategy while Anand failed to make good use of having the white pieces.
It was an Interesting drawn game in which Kramnik solved his opening problems with ease, and Anand though played several inaccurate moves and had to fight hard at the brink of defeat in an instructive Rook ending saving the game with a study stalemate.
