Youth kills owner of lottery centre after losing money

Nashik, Sep 15 (UNI) A 19-year-old youth, who had lost Rs 2,500 while playing the lottery, allegedly killed the owner of the centre in a fit of rage at the CIDCO locality here today.

After losing around Rs 2,500, the youth allegedly tried to steal money from the cash counter of the lottery centre, police said.

When Popat Wagh, the owner of the centre, accosted the youth, the latter attacked him with a knife. Wagh was serious injured and was rushed to the district civil hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the youth was overpowered by the locals who beat him up before handing him over to the police.
