Three arrested for trying to cheat Mann with Nagmani deal

Fatehgarh Sahib, Sep 15 (UNI) Three youths from Himachal Pardesh have been arrested by Fatehgarh Sahib police for their alleged attempt to commit fraud related to Nagmani deal with Shiromani Akali Dal(Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann.

The case was registered on the complaint of Mann's Personal Secretary(PS) Gurjant Singh against Atinderpal Singh, a resident of Butarha, Rajnish Kumar, a resident of Btouli and Sudarshan Kumar, a resident of Kotla Khurd of district Una (HimachalPardesh) under section 420 of the IPC.

According to police sources, the three youths met Mr Mann at his Quila Harnam Singh residence last night after an appointment.

During the meeting, they first requested Mr Mann's help to sell goods of a reputed company on around 30 per cent commission.

Later, they told Mr Mann that they wanted financial help from him to purchase a 'Nagmani'(magical serpent stone ) from a person for Rs 40-50 lakh, which they planned to further sell for around Rs 1 crore. They promised Mr Mann a handsome promise after they sell the rare mythical gem.

However, Mr Mann got suspicious and informed the police.

The police arrested and later presented the trio in the court of ACJM, Fatehgarh Sahib, where they were remanded in police custody for two days.
