New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) The pleasant weather in Delhi, brought about by short bursts of showers in the city in the last couple of days, persisted today even though the mercury rose to 34 Degree Celsius.
Despite a sunlit sky, after a predominantly cloudy day yesterday, and a rise in mercury to 34 Degree C, cool Southerly winds maintained the pleasantness in the weather in the city.
In fact, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees C, a degree below normal. Even the maximum, at 34 degrees C, was the normal temperature at this time of the year.
The cool weather in Delhi and other plains of Northwest India could stay for another day or two with the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal persisting.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with light rains or thundershowers in some areas.
