PIL demands subsidised tour to Ramsethu
Lucknow, Sep 15 (UNI) Against the backdrop of much political heat on the controversial Sethusamudaram Project, a PIL was today filed with the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court demanding that the central government conduct subsidised tours for devotees to the Ramsethu.
The PIL, filed by Hindu Personal Law Board president Ashok Pandey, is likely to be taken up for hearing on September 17.
Mr Pandey has contended that a visit to the Ramsethu was imperative for attaining 'moksha' (salvation) and therefore the centre should facilitate its subsidised 'darshan'.
