In a all-India finals, Pankaj Advani faced the challenge of Dhruv Sitwala. The match, though became an one-sided contest as Advani romped home with a score of 1946 points, against his opponent's 1488.
Advani, incidentally is the reigning champion in the event, could not hold to his other title in the points format. Rupesh Shah won the point format defeating his compatriot Ashok Shandilya.
The 22-year-old Advani after the match said, ''I was going through a rough phase in the game and I didn't perform well in the point format championship as well. So to come back in the time format and win the traditional format of the billiards championship is very satisfying, especially because I am defending this title, so it gives me double satisfaction.''
