Ram Setu: BJP asks institutional apology
Jaipur, Sep 15: The BJP in Rajasthan today asked for ''institutional apology'' from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for filing a factually ''incorrect affidavit'' before the Supreme Court on the Ramsethu issue.
Talking to newspersons here, state party unit president Mahesh Sharma said it was good that the UPA Government had accepted its slip and fault and Union Law Minister Hansraj Bhardwaj had also regretted the same.
''However, personal regrets or apologies do not satisfy us, we want institutional apology from the government leadership and therefore the Prime Minister and the UPA chairperson Ms Gandhi should tender a public apology,'' Mr Sharma said.
