Bandh called to demand district status for Sadar hills

Imphal, Sep 15 (UNI) The Sadar Hills District Demand Committee(SHDCC) has called a 48-hour Sadar Hills bandh from September 17 midnight demanding full district status to the district.

The Sadar Hills was now under Senapati district, Haokholen Guite, Chairman of the SHDCC since the government had yet not conceded to their demands.

The Committee had also organised bandhs and economic blockades earlier on a number of occasions for the same purpose.
