Warna sugar mill bags award for achieving highest exports

Kolhapur, Sep 14 (UNI) The Warna Cooperative Sugar Factory in this district has bagged the nationallevel award instituted by the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories for achieving the highest exports.

Warna group leader Vinay Kore, who is also a Maharashtra minister, today said the factory has achieved the distinction for the second time among the total 351 sugar factories in the country.

The Warna sugar factory had produced 25 lakh quintals of sugar in the last crushing season.

The award will be presented to the Warna sugar factory at the hands of Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar at a function to be held in New Delhi on September 26.
