IMFA gets Pollution Control Appreciation award

Bhubaneswar, Sep 14 (UNI): The 108-mw coal based captive power plant of Indian Metals&Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest and only fully integrated producer of ferro alloys has won the Orissa State Pollution Controll Board (OSCPB)'s Pollution Control Appreciation Award-2007 for making appreciable efforts to implement pollution control measures.

Orissa's Environment and Forest Principal Secretary H S Chahar presented the award to IMFA Senior Vice President B D Sahoo at a function organised here today to celebrate the 24th foundation day of the OSCPB.

The Captive Power Plant has already won ISO 9001 quality management certification, ISO 14001 environment management certification and OHSAS 18001 occupational health&safety certification.
