Chandigarh, Sep 14 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today launched the 10th Anniversary Edition of the Honda City ZX, with several novel features.
The new car Honda City ZX V-TEC was loaded with a host of safety and luxury features, such as a G-Con body, ABS, SRS Airbags and plush leather interiors, National Head Sales Arvind Bhatnagar said.
''The company has made several value-additions to the City ZX, which is an excellent combination of distinctive styling, interior comfort, fuel-efficiency and great performance,'' he added.
He further said all current Honda cars in India were E-10 (10 per cent ethanol blended with gasoline) ready which the Central government was considering to implement in near future.
''We are now preparing for the second phase of our growth and will augment our product as well as extend presence into second tier towns and cities,'' he added .
Mr Bhatnagar said company has its state-of-art manufacturing facilities at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, having capacity of 50,000 cars annually which was being raised to one lakh cars per annum by the end of 2007-08.
The company was also setting up new car manufacturing plant in the Alwar district of Rajasthan with an investment of Rs 1000 crore.
The plant would have intial capacity of 60,000 cars annually, he added.
He said that the company had sold over 2.50 lakh cars since it entered into the Indian car market in 1997.
