CPM wants transparent policy in free house site pattas
Puducherry, Sep 14(UNI) The CPI (M) here urged the administration to evolve a transparent policy for provision of free house site pattas for those residing in poromboke lands.
In a resolution adopted at the Pradesh Committee Meeting of the party here yesterday, the CPI (M) pointed out that in Tamil Nadu pattas were being issued to those residing on poromboke lands for ten years together and urged the administration to follow the same in here also.
Another resolution urged the administration to drop its move to provide old age and widow pension through banks since it would create hardships to the aged people, Party Secretary V Perumal said in a statement here today.
