BSP is all set to emerge as third-force in Gujarat: Ram Pal
Ahmedabad, Sep 14 (UNI) Riding on the ''social engineering'' wave, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has decided to field its candidates in all the assembly constituencies in Gujarat for the forthcoming elections with a view to emerge as a ''third force'' in the state.
BSP In-charge for Gujarat Ram Pal Singh, told media persons here that the party will make all efforts to get success in Gujarat and mobilise its cadre by organising a massive ''Party Workers Mahasammalan'' on Sunday at Vadadora, that will be addressed by Party Supermo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister of Mayawati.
Mr Singh claimed that the party has already created a structure in Gujarat and around 12,000 dedicated party workers for each assembly constituency will ensure the victory of the BSP candidates in the coming assembly elections.
He further said that the party has been working for the past 30 months to mobilise and strengthen its grass root base. ''That is the reason the party will contest elections in all the 182 assembly constituencies in December elections,'' he added.
Mr Singh said that thousands of workers from various parties have been joining BSP after its electoral success in Uttar Pradesh.
Former Minister in Narendra Modi's Government, Mr Nalin Bhat said that BSP will emerge as a major force, after the December assembly elections.
