Arunachal to communitize selected schools: Khandu

Itanagar, Sep 14 (UNI): The Arunachal Pradesh government would go for communitisation of elementary and primary education in some selected schools.

The communitisation process would be completed before the coming session involving panchayat institutions for smooth running of schools in rural areas, disclosed Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu during a meeting with head of departments at Tawang yesterday on his four-day official visit to the district.

The chief minister also disclosed that in order to provide better health-care facilities the state government was contemplating purchasing three ambulances for each district.

The chief minister while visiting the Tawang Public School at Lumberdung exhorted the students to study hard to achieve their desired goal and further urged upon the teachers to inculcate discipline and scientific temper among the students.

Meanwhile, the next sectoral meeting of the union ministry of DoNER to be attended by all the governors and chief ministers of North Eastern states is slated to be held at Tawang very shortly, Mr. Khandu informed during the meeting and asked the officials to fully gear up for the proposed function, sources added.
