4 including three women killed in two separate accidents
Mumbai, Sep 14 (UNI) Four persons including a woman and two girls were killed and two others were injured in two separate incidents of rash and negligent driving in the city during the last 24 hours.
In the first incident, Piramal Lotansingh (37), resident of Wardha district in Maharashtra, had come to Mumbai along with his family for seeking a job. At around 0500 hours today, while they were asleep under the Western Express fly-over bridge near National Park, Borivali, a truck ran over them while the driver was taking a reverse, police said.
Anita Lotansingh (25), Neha Shekhar Gaikwad (12) and Nekari Lotansingh (7) were killed on the spot while Piramal is being treated at the Bhagwati hospital here.
In the second incident, a jeep collided with a truck on the Eastern Express Highway in which the cleaner of the jeep, Mangesh (20) was killed while the driver is struggling for his life in a private hospital, police added.
