Pune Sep 13: Zmanda, the leader in open source backup and data protection, has announced successful delivery of two cutting edge open source products, primarily designed and developed at it's India Development Center based in Pune.
These products represent major enhancements to company's flagship product lines: Amanda Network Backup and Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL.
Zmanda,(CEO) Chander Kant while addressing media persons here yesterday said that Zmanda has launched the first enterprise-class open format backup solution for Microsoft Windows. Amanda Enterprise, with the new Zmanda Client for Windows, provides a simple, secure and cost-effective solution for backing up a heterogeneous network comprising of Linux, Solaris and Windows based systems.
Pune also delivered Zmanda Management Console for MySQL Backup.
This is a set of powerful graphical tools designed to simplify and accelerate the complex process of MySQL database backup and recovery. Zmanda Management Console (available as part of subscription to Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL) can dramatically reduce the workload of a MySQL database administrator (DBA) while providing enterprise-class, MySQL-specific backup and recovery.
