Ahmedabad, Sept 13 (UNI) Tata Teleservice Limited (TTL), India's fastest-growing telecom service provider, today unveiled the country's first Mobile Web Browser (MWB) internet service in association with Samsung Telecommunications India.
The MWB is being made available on specifically designed sleek, feature-riched hand-set 'Samsung Explore', said Suneel Bandhu, COO of TTL (Gujarat) here.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Bandhu said ''This new-age browser is designed to provide mobile user a true Web experience at speed 3-4 times faster than GPRS, with access to all websites and all this on a stylish multimedia device from Samsung at an affordable price of Rs 5,499.'' ''This innovation is an important step in extending the power of the internet on to mobile device, making it accessible to the large and growing mass of mobile users. With our new mobile web browser, Tata Indicom customers can get a rich and full internet experience,'' he said.
Tata Indicom's web browser is the first being introduced on the 'Samsung Explorer' handset. Mobile internet comes at easy prices -- ranging from Rs 10 per day to Rs 99 for a month, with unlimited Internet access, the TTL officer said.
Samsung Explore comes with a 'Go Active' connection that offer incoming facility for a year and free 1,000-minutes Tata-to-Tata calling at no extra cost. Additionally, Tata Indicom customers also has the option to select their own tariff plan from various customer-friendly and attractive tariff options, Mr Bandhu added.
