No proven studies to show mobile phones hazardous:Tata Teleservices

Kochi, Sep 13 (UNI) There were no proven studies to show that the use of mobile phones was a health hazard, Tata Teleservices, Kerala Circle Operating Officer, S S Datha said today.

While there were various university-level studies on the pros and cons of mobile phone usage, the latest WHO report stated that there was no conclusive proof that mobile phones were a health hazard, he said at a press conference here.

Asked about the Karnataka Government's ban on the use of mobile phones by those under 16 years, he said the service providers were bound to follow any regulations issued by the licensers.
