Lt Gen Daljeet Singh reiterates resolve to 'Fight to Win'

Chandigarh, Sept 13 (UNI) On the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Western Command at Chandimandir, Lt Gen Daljeet Singh, GOC-in-C, Western Command asserted the Western Army's resolve to 'Fight To Win'.

In his message, Lt Gen Daljeet Singh complimented Western Army for its unflinching loyalty, zeal and selfless devotion to duty.

"I am confident that all the combatants and civilians employed in this Command will continue to draw inspiration from our achievements in the past and work for excellence in all fields and achieve greater glories in the future," he said.

"The Western Army has a glorious history, replete with examples of motivation, commitment and exemplary dedication in service to the Nation. Its Officers, JCOs and men have acquitted themselves with immense valour in all conflicts since independence and consistently defeated any attempts at violation of our Country's sovereignty," he said.

"We are a frontline Army with immense responsibilities. On this day, we re-dedicate ourselves to work towards sustaining and building up the indomitable team and traditions of valour that are the hallmark of our Army. We are sanguine that should we be put to the acid test, there shall be only one outcome, an unambiguous victory. We remain the nightmare of any adversary who dares, for we fight to win,'' Lt Gen Daljeet Singh said.
