Tripura legislators got hike in salaries

Agartala, Sep 12 (UNI) The Tripura Assembly has unanimously passed the 18th amendment bill for enhancement of salaries and allowances of the state representatives yesterday.

With the new amendment, the monthly salary of the legislators has increased by Rs 2000. The chief minister would now get Rs 9200 while other ministers and MLAs would get Rs 9000 and Rs 8500 respectively.

The pensions of the former legislators were increased to Rs 6000 as well as the family pension was revised to Rs 3000 per month.

The DA, telephone bill and house loan amount of the legislators have also been increased with the amendment.
