Patna, Sep 12 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the NDA government was committed to land reforms in the state and added that required steps would be initiated even before the receipt of the Land Reforms Commission report.
During a review meeting here on the pace of land reforms in the state, Mr Kumar directed the officers, right from the Revenue Board to the block level, to ensure complete transparency in the land records and redress the litigation on ownership over plots of land on priority basis.
Once the report of the state Land Reforms Commission was submitted to the Bihar government, the related laws would be amended accordingly, he said adding till then the existing provisions should be enforced to get the desired result.
Later in a separate meeting, Mr Kumar reviewed the execution of various developmental projects being carried out by different departments and directed the officers concerned to ensure completion of all these projects within the stipulated time period.
The construction of roads and houses damaged in the flood-hit areas of north Bihar would be carried out on war footing once the flood fury was over, he added.
