'Chakka jam' by Ramsethu Raksha Manch
Jaipur, Sep12: The 'chakka jam' organised by the Sri Ramsethu Raksha Manch, demanding the protection of the Ramsethu was almost total in Rajasthan with the rail and road traffic this morning coming to a grinding halt.
Manch co-ordinator Vishwajeet claimed that at almost all places, including Jaipur, not even two-wheelers were allowed to ply during the strike period of three hours from 0800 to 1100 hrs. However, no untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the state.
The commuters during the peak office hours were stopped by the volunteers and allowed to move only after the strike period expired. Due to the proposed strike, most of the schools declared a holiday today to avoid inconvenience to the students.
