Mayor Arti Mehra releases grant of Rs 2.4 crore to 5 gosadans

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra today gave grant of Rs 2.5 crore to five gosadans being run by Non-Governmental Organisations where stray cows caught during raids conducted by MCD are kept.

Ms Mehra, who visited the gosadans to inspect the working of the NGOs after being informed that these were facing hardship in maintaining their routine chores and daily feeding of the cows due to non release of grants following some petty objections, announced the relase of the grant after getting the objections removed in a meeting of the officials concerned.

Among the gosadons which were granted the money are Acharya Sushil Gosadan, Dabur Hare Krishna Goshala, Bharti Govansh, Manav Gosadan and Surbhi Sood Sansthan.
