Haryana to give Rs 1 cr subsidy for solar water heating
Chandigarh, Sep 12 (UNI) The Haryana government has earmarked a sum of Rs one crore during the current financial year to provide subsidy for domestic use of solar water heating system.
This would be a major step towards promoting the renewable energy technologies in the state, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said here today.
He said the government had decided to provide a subsidy of up to Rs 10,000 on installation of solar water heating system in houses.
This subsidy would be available to the people belonging to all sections of the society, including Haryana government employees, he said.
Mr Mohan said to popularise the solar water heaters, the government had decided to provide capital subsidy at the rate of Rs 5,000 per 100 litre capacity system and the maximum subsidy would be up to Rs 10,000.
