Condolences paid to former PM Chandrashekhar, Saheb Singh Verma

New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly today offered their condolences to former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and BJP leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Saheb Singh Verma.

As soon as proceedings began for the Monsoon Session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit offered tributes to Chandra Shekhar and Saheb Singh.

Tributes were also offered to the two departed leaders by Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Jagdish Mukhi, Congress MLAs Mukesh Sharma and Vijay Lochav and BJP MLAs Vijay Jolly and Harsharan Singh Balli.

The House also paid its tributes to former Lt Governor S L Khurana and former member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Vasdev Kaptan.

Soon after tributes to the departed leaders, Speaker Prem Singh adjourned the House for the day.
