BSNL to introduce multiplay DTH service in Oct

Phagwara, Sept 12 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd will introduce multiplay DTH service along with its existing Broadband service in all major cities next month, facilitating the telephone subscribers to view of TV channels.

BSNL General Manager (Telephones) Rajiv Sharma told UNI that the much-awaited service will be available from next month.

He said the BSNL had made many changes to keep pace with competition in this sector. Now landline phones were easily available on demand and the department had also introduced prepaid land line phones.

He said internet service was being provided through Landline phones, Mobile Phones and WLL Phones at competitive tarrifs.

Replying to a question, the GM said that Broadband Waiting list would be cleared by the month-end.

Mr Sharma also claimed that broadband service of the department will be provided at every sub-divisional headquarters.
