Phagwara, Sep 12 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd would introduce Multiplay DTH service along with its existing Broadband service in all major cities by next month to facilitate the telephone subscribers with viewing of TV channels, BSNL General Manager Telephones Rajiv Sharma said here today.
Mr Sharma, accompanied by Deputy General Manager Gautam Lal, after inspecting the working of local telephone exchange, told UNI that the much-awaited service could be provided from next month.
He said that the BSNL had made many improvements to keep pace with private cpmpetition. Now landline phones were easily available on demand and the department had also introduced prepaid land line phones, he added.
The General Manager said that bids had been invited to get VIP numbers for mobile phones which could be tendered by September 13.
He said Internet service was being provided through Landline phones, Mobile Phones and WLL Phones at competitive tarrifs.
Replying to a question, the GM said that Broadband Waiting list would be cleared by the end of this month.
Mr Sharma also claimed that broadband service of the department was being provided at every sub-divisional headquarter.
