Birla Sun Life's NFO offers new investment avenues

Bangalore, Sep 12 (UNI) Newly launched Birla Sun Life International Equity Fund will provide the Indian investors an opportunity to buy international stocks, which offers lot of flexibility, Birla Sun Life Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mukul Gupta said today.

Addressing a press conference here today, he said the funds raised would be invested without geographical, sector and market capitalisation bias.

The Fund would be invested internationally based on a unique research methodology and would not focus on any single geography or region.

''We are providing an international product with international expertise that brings best to the Indian investors'' he added.

The New Fund Offering (NFO), which offers an opportunity to invest in international growth stocks in the open-ended diversified equity scheme, would open for subscription on September 17.

Birla Sun Life International Equity Fund was a diversified equity fund that had two plans.

Plan 'A', would invest in diversified portfolio of international stocks from across the world. Plan 'B', would be a mix of domestic stocks (65-70 per cent) and International stocks (25-35 per cent).

Minimum subscription for the fund was Rs 5,000 and in multiple of Rupee one thereafter. The NFO would remain open for subscription till October 16.
