Birla Sun Life to launch international equity fund

Bangalore, Sep 12 (UNI) Newly launched Birla Sun Life International Equity Fund would provide a good opportunity to Indian investors to buy international stocks which offers lot of flexibility, Mr Mukul Gupta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Birla Sun Life, said today.

Speaking at a press conference here, he said that the Birla Sun Life International Equity Fund, an open ended diversified equity scheme with Plan 'A' and Plan 'B' was coming with strong support of Standard and Poor's Investment Advisory services.

He said that the funds raised would be invested without geographical, sector and market capitalization bias. The Fund would invest internationally based on a unique research methodology and dose not focus on any single geography or region. "We are providing an International product, backing with International expertise in choosing the right stocks that brings best to the Indian investors" he added.

The New Fund Offering (NFO), that offers an opportunity to invest in international growth stocks in the open-ended diversified equity scheme, will open for subscription on September 17.

Birla Sun Life International Equity Fund, was a diversified equity fund that has two plans. Plan 'A', will invest in diversified portfolio of international stocks from across the world. Plan 'B', will be a mix of domestic stocks (65-70 per cent) and International stocks (25-35 per cent).

Minimum subscription for the fund is Rs 5,000 and in multiple of Rupee one thereafter. The NFO will remain open for subscription till October 16.
