Patiala Sept 12 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today again demanded transfer of all the cases pertaining to corruption by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his family be transferred to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
He also demanded that cases registered against him in the alleged City Centre scam should also be probed by the central investigative agency, according to Mr Singh's spokesman and OSD to former chief Minister, Major Amardeep Singh.
The spokesman told mediapersons here today that the former chief minister had already expressed apprehension that the Vigilance Bureau had been playing in the hands of Mr Badal, which was quite evident by the manner in which all the witnesses had turned hostile in the case registered against Badal's family in disproportionate assets case.
Reacting to the news item published in the section of press that Punjab Government has planned to move Supreme Court for the cancellation of bail of the Amarinder family in the City Centre scam, Major Amardeep accused Mr Badal of indulging in political vendetta.
Major Amardeep Singh said that Punjab Government should transfer Badal's case outside Punjab and witnesses should be cross-examined there again so that truth would surfac.
