World Junior Circuit TT to begin in Goa from tomorrow

Panaji, Sep 11 (UNI) The World Junior Circuit Table Tennis Championship, organised by Goa Table Tennis Association under the aegis of Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), will get underway from tomorrow at Talegao in North Goa.

Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat will inaugurate the championship at 1530 hrs in the Community hall.

In the four-day event, teams from India, Japan, Singapore, Bhutan, Thailand, Nepal, Egypt, Iran and Pakistan will display their talents.

In the championship, there will be competitions of Junior Boys Singles and Doubles, Junior Girls Singles and Doubles, Junior Boys, Junior Boys Team, Junior Girls Team, Cadet Boys Singles, Cadet Girls Singles, Cadet Boys Team, Cadet Boys Doubles, Cadet Girls Team and Cadet Girls Doubles.

The India team consists of 20 players -- 11 girls and 9 boys.

Girls: Neha Aggarwal, Bhandarkar Malika, Ankita Das, Divya Deshpande, Charvi Kawle, Medha Moitra, Soumi Mondal, Esha Monga, S Pooja, Prajkta Tipale and Sanya Sehgal.

Boys: Harmeet Desai, S Ghosh, Nitin Vasant, Sanjay Paranjape, Sourav Saha, Ganesekaan Sethyan, Shubham Sharma, S Shetty and Abhishek Yadav.

All the teams had arrived in Goa.
