Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 11 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the State Assembly that no consensus had been reached between the State and Tamil Nadu on Parambikulam Aliyar Project (PAP).

Though several rounds of Chief Ministerial, Ministerial and official level review meetings on PAP have been held since 1997, both the States could not reach a consensus in this regard, he said in a written reply to Mr V Chenthamarakshan (CPM) and others.

Mr Achuthanandan said he had written a letter to his Tamil Nadu counterpart about the State's willingness to hold talks on Mullaperiyar and PAP issues and solve the differences amicably.

As per the PAP water sharing deal, the two States were to review the agreement every 30 years.
