Eluru, Aug 27 (UNI) Implementation of various welfare schemes by the Andhra Pradesh Government has triggered a silent economic revolution in rural areas, Social Welfare Minister Pilli Subhas Chandra Bose said today.

Speaking after laying the foundation stone for a protected water supply scheme by 'NAANDI' organisation at Pedatadepalli village, Mr Bose, who is also the In-Charge Minister of West Godavari district said, a sustained economic development was underway in villages in the state.

The government had taken various steps to help farmers and raise the cultivable land holdings in the state. ''Jala Yagnam'', an irrigation project undertaken to irrigate one crore acres of land, was part of the initiative, he added.
