Govt, Left resume dialogue to defuse crisis

The
Left
parties
and
key
government
leaders
were
today
holding
crucial
negotiations
to
find
ways
and
means
to
end
the
current
stand
off
over
the
Indo-US
nuclear
deal
that
has
threatened
the
survival
of
the
UPA
regime.
The hectic parleys between the government and the Left parties to thrash out the UPA-Left logjam are almost certain to lead to the setting up of a political mechanism to evaluate the Hyde Act and its implications on India.
CPI leaders AB Bardhan, Gurudas Dasgupta and D Raja held about one and a half hour meeting with government interlocutor Pranab Mukherjee.

the

and
diplomatic
experts
to
be
announced
by
UPA
Chairperson
Sonia
Gandhi
after
Prime
Minister
Manmohan
Singh
and
the
Congress
core
group
