Delhi-Bahadurgarh-Rohtak road to be six laned
Chandigarh, Aug 27 (UNI) With a view to easing the traffic on National Highway no 10, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is going in for six laning of Delhi-Bahadurgarh-Rohtak road costing Rs 486 crore.
Besides, a 10 km long stretch of National Highway No 1 was also being six-laned at a cost of Rs 270 crore.
An official spokesman said that 63.5 km long Delhi-Rohtak road would be construted on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis and it would be completed within next two years.
Apart from 6-laning of the existing National Highway, two long bypasses would also be constructed at Bahadurgarh and Rohtak.
Besides, 13 kilometer long bypass of Bahadurgarh would also be constructed.
He said this step would help in solving the problem of traffic congestion and ease the movement of traffic. Besides, the journey would be more comfortable and safe after widening the road.
He asserted that this ambitious project would prove a boon for the people of the state.
